About Us

Our Story

The Rahyab Initiative carries forward the legacy of the Organization of Rahyab for Rehabilitation Services for the Blind (ORRSB), originally established in Afghanistan in 2008. Over the years, ORRSB became a beacon of hope for individuals with visual impairments, providing essential rehabilitation and assistive education services and empowering countless lives, as well as advocacy for the rights of all categories of people with disabilities in Afghanistan.

Our Future

In 2024, we expanded our vision and scope, founding The Rahyab Initiative in the United Kingdom. This new chapter embraces broader aspirations, aiming to address not only the challenges faced by people with disabilities, but also the pressing needs of other vulnerable and marginalized communities worldwide.
